A “Bells Only” alarm system is designed to provide an audible warning that activates internal and external sounders, at the premises. This method of notification is designed to alert either neighbors or passers-by that a burglary may be in progress.
This type of installation is ideal for suburban type dwelling or housing development, but may not be suitable for rural or remote properties, without an additional method of communication or by the use of an additional high-level sounder or siren.

Audible – “SMS/Voice” Alarm System |

By the use of a Text/Voice communicator it turns a “Bells Only” alarm system into an SMS/Voice alarm installation. The unit utilises signals from the alarm panel to trigger either a voice message or and a SMS text alert to a nominated list of telephone numbers. This is an economic alternative to remote monitoring through an Alarm receiving Centre.

Monitored or Remote Alarm Signaling is when the alerts generated by an alarm control panel are passed to an Alarm-Receiving Centre or ARC. These centres are manned 24/7 where the alarm signals are continuously monitored with the appropriate action taken depending on the type of signals received.
The method and type of signaling used to transfer these signals can vary with each alarm installation and is normally dependant on the grade of alarm installation and the level of risk to that premises.

Grade 2 - Dual Com: via PSTN Line & GPRS Module incl.
Grade 3 - BT RedCare: via PSTN Line & GPRS Module incl. Encryption
In order for an alarm system to generate these alarm signals the alarm control must meet the relevent alarm certification grade together with the Insurance/Police requirements under the EN50131 & DD243 Alarm Installation Standards.
