Planned Maintenance - Testing

With any burglar alarm system there is a requirement to regularly check the system for any faults, as these left unattended could develop into causing nuisance false alarms within your community.

• Grade 2X – General Alarm Systems – 1 visit per year
• Grade 2 – Digital Alarm Systems – 2 visits per year
• Grade 3 – Encrypted Alarm Systems – 2 visits per year

Corrective Maintenance - Repairs

False alarms are normally caused as a result of a non-maintained alarm system. Faults are only generally reported when one of the following has happened.

• Power Failure – Fault Battery
• System will not set – System not regularly tested
• System did not activate – Recent Burglary

Allowing for the fact that faults can occur on burglar alarm systems, we at Premier Security Systems offer to repair most alarm systems as per our unit cost schedule.

Alarm Monitoring – Police Response

Burglar Alarm systems that require a Police response will have to have their alarm system connected to an Alarm Receiving Centre [ARC]. This will allow the monitoring centre to filter out any unnecessary false alarms and to inform your keyholders and Police of any confirmed alarm activations.

As Remote alarm monitoring may also be a condition of your insurance policy, it is important to verify with your insurance company the level of monitoring they require.
