Corrective Maintenance
In layman’s terms it is the action taken by your alarm installer to correct known faults to the alarm system and to replace any faulty equipment that has failed or has caused a false alarm. Should your burglar alarm fail or cause false alarm activations then there is a need for the alarm installation company to rectify the fault within 4 hours, or before you have to set the system. The cause of such faults can be normally be diagnosed by the alarm engineer, as they can be quickly determined through the system log. Faults are categorised as being company related, where the company would be responsible for the quality of the installation, the equipment installed or customer training. Customer related faults occur when the customer fails to operate the system in correct the manner, or fails to show others the correct operation of the system.
